Mornings in Italy - A modified version of our Week in Italy class, we will learn to speak a little Italian, cook some Italian dishes, and create some Italian-style art, all giving us a taste of Italy, its rich culture and beautiful language.
Cruising the Galapagos Islands - Off the coast of Ecuador, in the southeast Pacific ocean are these amazing islands, abundant in animals; both sea and land species, some of which are found only among the Galapagos Islands. Learn the science behind this and get to know and illustrate some of these fascinating creatures.
Creating in the Kitchen:
Pastries from Around the World - tiramisu, torten, tarts, creme brulee, baclava, profiteroles...and American pie (excellent crust from scratch...you can do it!)
Mediterranean Delicacies - Steaming little puffed breads from the oven, to be filled with home-made gyros or dipped in hummus and enjoyed with taboulee and kibbee or hand-rolled vine leaves. Made-from-scratch pasta, formed into linguini or ravioli, stuffed with cheese or pesto.
